What Do We Do?
Since 2004, Chamber Directory Services has been providing chambers and publishers of chamber publications with a total turnkey operation with NO OUT- OF-POCKET cost to the client and at the same time, we usually do member verification. This process allows the chamber to have an updated member database at no charge, and the chamber will also receive a portion of the proceeds from enhanced listing sales or even display ad sales if needed. Our process allows the chamber to have an updated membership database and a steady stream of non-dues revenue.
- We work with Chambers of Commerce and other membership organizations who do their own publication in house or even if they have a publisher for their publication.
- We work with publishing companies who publish and print chamber membership magazines, chamber maps, relocations guides and destination or visitor’s guides. And we also have worked with realtor associations, builder associations, bar (legal) associations and dental associations.
- We have worked with Realtor Associations, Dental Associations, Legal (Bar) Associations and Builder Associations in the past.
How Does This Work?
- Once we agree to work together, we receive an excel file of your membership database from the client and we ask the client to create a rate sheet showing the listings offered and we hit the phones and get to work!
- Our call center reps are based in the Greater Memphis, TN surrounding area and we contact the members via phone and email and verify their listing information.
- Verification of the member data is crucial to this process and to your chamber, so you have the most updated information. This is how you communicate with your members and how they are seen on your site and in your membership magazine and anything else you list them in.
- We can still generate a stream of NON-DUES revenue for your organization without the member verification part. Some clients, very few, have their own method of verifying the member’s data and listing information.
- We use a very “soft sale” approach using professionalism and member manners. We offer it to them in a customer service type approach.
- We send weekly changes / updates to the chamber or publisher every week and the chamber will update their database with these changes. Then at the end, we send a final sales report to the chamber or publisher with the members who bought enhanced listings. We will also send a change report that has all changes made since the start of the process.
- All along the way, we are paying you every 2 weeks on collected sales and this way you are assured to receive your part of the revenue share and not risk another company not paying at the very end of the process.
